OUR ACTIVITIES
Weekly events
MONDAYS
10.00 – 12.00 Coffee and chat. Come when you can. Go when you want. Bring a friend (or two). Tea, coffee, biscuits and chat.
THURSDAYS
10.00 – 10.30 Vestry prayers
11 o’Clock Group. A group for those who do not work and the retired. A talk followed by a short act of worship at 12.15. This is followed by the chance to take lunch together. A warm, friendly bunch of people enjoying themselves.
Family Fun Club
One of our most successful events is the Family Fun club. This meets fortnightly on Saturdays from 3.00 pm until 5.00 pm. It provides a great chance for young people and their families to meet together to have fun and, in the process, learn a little about the Gospel. This activity is not taking place at the moment.
Monthly events
Monthly women’s evening group – generally on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Monthly craft group – generally 4th Saturday of the month from 11 a.m until 2 p.m.
Monthly lunch – 4th Saturday in the month from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. We usually raise money for a nominated charity.
Supper Forums. This has become an Oadby institution. We invite speakers to give talks on a wide variety of subjects and end each evening with a communal meal.
Other events
We organise many other events such as Spring Fairs, parties and quizzes.
Many people who have been bereaved find our regular “Time to Remember” services a source of strength and comfort. We have created a small garden of remembrance in the grounds of the church where people can meditate our enjoy a time of quietness.
